His stance it will kill the current way of wormholes and there wont be any "good" fights left because everybody got sieged.
My stance: "This is the start of a new form of wormholes, a new form of War, a more teambased way of playing the game, that is different from the usual SCAN, ROLL, FARM, GANK - Cycle." Then you are both wrong. It doesnt change anything fundamental. People were saying the same thing during TL siege, around W-Space siege, HK siege and any other big siege that happened in the past. People keep saying how "this" (whatever it is) is gonna change wormholes and how they are dying and whatnot every couple months.
And in fact not a single of those predictions was ever true. Its remarkable that among so many alleged terrible changes and deaths, wormholes are pretty much still the same. W-Space Realtor |

Except with less people, and the rest of us more centralized. Eve is about power, but with power comes great inability to get fights from people who don't want to whelp fleets ( whelping fleets is only fun if you're pulling off something cool). Can't have your cake and eat it too. Except the wormholes are more populated now - for example C4 space used to be a barren desert, now its teeming with life. And we are less centralized - bunch of large, multi-hole alliances disintegrated.
These perpetual fears and predictions are simply contradicted by facts.

Source? Observation. People have been saying 'whs are dying' for far longer than this subforum existed (its exactly the same with any other area of the game btw): Farmers were supposed to kill whs - they clearly didnt. Logoff ganking was supposed to kill whs - it clearly didnt. Dropping activity was supposed to kill whs - go check killboards. Dropping population was supposed to kill whs - population increased instead (except C6 space). Massive multi-hole alliances were supposed to kill whs - disintegrated. Giant coalitions of permanent blues were supposed to kill whs - gone too. Concentration in massive corporations was supposed to kill whs - instead we have bunch of new groups showing their muscles as some of the old ones ran out of steam.
All we see are just short term ebbs, flows and fads. But people keep screaming about end of the(ir) world over and over again. So instead of impossibly trying to prove the negative, I'd like to see something that actually demonstrates that whs are in fact dying.

So you basically admit that your own assertion is baseless. Nice... but you should have mentioned earlier that you're just pulling crap out of your arse, less time would be wasted.

I never claimed I was using facts, you monkey. So you basically admit that your own assertion is baseless. Nice... but you should have mentioned earlier that you're just pulling crap out of your arse, less time would be wasted. Makes baseless claims. Ridicules other baseless claims. Unfortunately for you, the burden of proof rests with the one making assertions, not the one disputing them. You are claiming that population is declining and more centralized, so you need to deliver something that demonstrates that. As it stands now, you made a claim and you demand from others to disprove it. As you perhaps know, its not possible to prove a negative on its own.
As far as my observations go, I dare say I am in reasonably good position to assess both centralization and overall population of wspace. As a diplomat for major wh corp, I am in contact with all other large and many small wh groups and follow their developments (like standings changes, alliances reforming, etc) and it gives me good handle on the former, while being wh realtor and watching how both supply and demand for various classes of holes and statics changes gives me at least as good insight into the latter. So I would say my observations arent exactly baseless and are the very reason why I call BS on yours and demand evidence for them. W-Space Realtor |

HerrBert wrote:So "wormhole" space as I know it is dying. New Blood is raising up and thats a good thing sad but good. But this is also leading towards a "stalemate".
We need changes for both sides of the COIN! Otherwise we will be stuck in the same old same old.....Old people need the excitement back and newcomers need the oppertunity.... If you want to avoid stalemate, arent new blood and higher turnover good things? I agree that we could use some new content to keep bittervets excited, but ppl coming and going is natural :)
